If there is identical ID in the mod, just with different parameters, the mod one takes precedent. If mod has different object ID (such as another train) it is added. This game is easily modable and it works in the way that it combines mod XML with the original XML. (if you do to your own peril, do not report bugs and game crashes.) I'm really serious, if you do not want to crash the game, do not EVER edit LUA or any other core game files.
